Nanuk aka James Frost
Nanuk is about looking at things with a difference, spotting quirks, anything out of the ordinary. For Nanuk, the inspiration comes from all of life's little surprises, special moments that have a lasting impact and spontaneous actions. A beam of light through black rain clouds, a plant growing through the roadside paving, a giant bear walking on ice in the arctic... things that defy logic but happen and demonstrate the power behind life.
The music is meant to have a similar effect, to remind you of a moment, to strike a thought in your mind, to open your eyes to something. But essentially I try and make beautiful music. In the tracks you will find an eclectic use of instruments ranging from electronic to acoustic. I was classically trained and try and build that influence into the modern music that I write.
In the future weeks I am going to be releasing some more albums, basically I have been doing a little bit of stock piling of music and now it’s nearly ready. The music ranges in variety but hopefully there is something in there that you like. Because of this variety there are long samples to listen to and also you can buy one track at a time.
